{Always learning, always improving}
Hey there! My name is Joshua, and I'm a software developer. I'm a recent graduate from Nashville Software School's intensive full stack web development program where I learned the process of planning, designing, building, and (more often than not) troubleshooting front-end and back-end applications. I'm a lifelong learner who has worn many hats from healthcare practitioner to network television editor. More than anything though, I define myself by my love for learning and problem solving.
Completed intensive full-stack software development program focusing on individual and team application development to simulate real world expectations and deadlines using the following technologies, workflow, and SCRUM framework implementation all in a remote environment:
Github
Javascript
ReactJS
NPM
JSON
C Sharp
Photoshop
Stitch Saver is a front-end application using Javascript, React, JSON, and the color-thief Javascript tool. Stitch Saver takes user input images and breaks them down into their dominant colors, creating a color palette and matching those colors to the closest matching stitching thread. Users are able to save and keep their individual images in a project list for later reference.
Cryptid Cartographer is a full-stack application using Javascript/React on client-side and C#/.Net/SQL on server-side. Cryptid Cartographer gives users a place to post their sightings of monsters, aliens, and unknown creatures better known as "cryptids". Users can post their sightings, track sightings that they find interesting, and search for sightings by US states.
Tabloid is a full-stack application that allows users to post articles to a "feed," tag their articles, and "favorite" other user posts. This was a group project sprint at Nashville Software School to further our understanding of the full-stack development process, team planning of projects, and use of SCRUM framework while working within a fixed timeframe.
